So i bought this game Thursday.....started it yesterday.....and i finish it.
Now holup. First of all i played this game from about 5pm to about 4am straight yesterday....then again today from about 3pm to 12midnight today (my time).......so thats what 17 hours or so playtime? This is playing the main storyline only. Not doing no huge number of sidequests, doing the other things that make this game what it is. All the marriage, having children and stuff....not so much.
Its quite amazing what the game offers though. You can buy property (houses, castles and businesses) and rent them out and also receive income from them constantly, even when not playing the game. Which is nice.
There are a large number of sidequests in the gmae, it gives you the chance to be honored with cities and be treated with royalty and such.
SOOO...the main storyline.....is very....VERY VERY good. I enjoyed it. A great story and quest with many many choices you can make.
Fable players will feel right at home in Fable 2 and really enjoy the expanded world, design and detail from 1.
The big thing about this game however is the XBOX LIVE feature. The game actually feels like a simplistic MMO. When you are on LIVE you can set the game to have EVERYONE else playing the game to show up as floating orbs with their gamertag and image on it. SO essentially while you are playing you can see where EVERYONE is in the game, espeically in cities. You are also in the Fable Chat channel with everyone around you being able to speak in game.
You can meet up with anyone in the game, invite them into your game or vice versa and help each other out on quests and to get certain items you may want to collect. I think that was an awesome idea, and I actually got some help form ppl in game when you were doing treasure hunts or puzzle quests of different types.
The gameplay is mad sick. Your weapon combos string together very nicely. You can choose melee, guns and magic....or all 3 or combinations....whatever you like. I was melee and magic mostly. The cool thing is the more of whichever you use, the more you character changes (as Fable 1 ppl may remember).
So as a magic user (which i was mostly) my face started showing glowing scars showing I was using large amounts of magic. If you go along melee you become a larger more brawny person because of strength...etc etc.
So I finished the main questline but the game still continues! you can keep building rep, finding items, getting weapons and secret stuff.....and more and more quests to do. So the world still persists after the main questline is done.
Fable fans i highly recommend this game without reservation. Other RPG fans I would strongly suggest you know about Fable or play it to enjoy this title. People who don't like Fable, well nothing to see here
Personally I think this game was tremendous....although it has some glitches and bugs here and there.....still a very nice game.
