hmm well blackberry is trying to get away from the "business class" phone maker to the more feature rich multimedia phone company. It's only fair to say that this phone will surely attract alot of people, especially existing blackberry fans, but i'm not one of them. I like smartphones that have a plethora of third party software, and right now the OS that doing it for me is the Symbian OS. Once alot of mobile software makers start to take RIM a bit more seriously, i won't mind investing in a blackberry phone.

i have a 3g phone :S...
because its 3g doesnt mean it cant operate on a 2g network... unless of course its a 3g ONLY phone... which i doubt

thats like saying my wireless g card cant work on a wireless b network :|...

according to the spec sheet on GSMARENA.. it appears to support both 2g and 3g bands.

I dont see a reason why it wont be able to work down here. But as far as I can see, its not even a technologically advanced phone IMO. Samsung's offerings are more feature rich.

Also, i'm seeing that it supports only the 2100 gsm band...kinna curious as to how that will work with us 3g since theirs is 1900 and 2100 is European.

according to tstt, the phone is so locked that it cant be used on a non 3g network
thus it isnt coming to trinidad.

Remember they gearing this version for the non-professional. If you look at the ads on TV they kind of gearing it to be sold to the personal not co-operate market. So it will sell plus it will try to compete with the iphone.
