Dealing with my voodoo mouse

The past couple of days I've realized my mouse has a mind of it's own. It randomly jumps across the screen outta the blue when I'm trying to do stuff.

Then I noticed the scroll button refused to work at one point. At first I told myself virus but I don't think it's that because I have scanned with malwarebytes and I using the latest NOD32.

Nod snagged sumn called toolbar.exe(dunno where that came from) and I got rid of that but it really has me wondering if my mouse is showing me signs of calling it quits.

At other times is just refuses to move so I really not sure. I never had a optical mouse fail on me before but I've had this one since early 2005. Maybe I killed it playing cod4 online etc lol

It's working now but I'm sure it'll be back to doing strange stuff soon...


Any suggestions?

have you tried turning it off and on again?

Don't be hatin slammin, this cheap mouse has done quite a good job lol.

Neph thanks for the tip....a little too much of IT crowd there lol

Opened it up and did some cleaning hope that was the prob.


Sometimes I wonder why I bother asking for help in here....just crazy ppl lurking around heheh
