http://austin.net.au/ProductList/tabid/103/Default.aspx?Category=GRAPHICS+CARDSAccording to a this link and some commentary on
www.techreport.com , it seems Nvidia's 55nm die shrink of the GT200 gpu is soon to be available.
The GT350 sports 2GB of GDDR5 according to the site , i'm imagining its the dual gpu variant Nvidia has designed to take back the performance crown.
the GT200 is a great design on paper , once Nvidia gets the costs down and clock speeds up it will be a force to be reckoned with once again..
ATI has nothing on the cards till next year i believe, but the R700 is very small and cheap to produce , i imagine their plan is to slash prices to remain a more attractive buy.
so i'm speculating something like this :
4870 X2 = 350
4870= 200-250
4850= 150 US
Notice ATI has no R700 product between the 80 USD 4670 and the 200USD 4850 , that leaves lots of room for price slashing , and with the R700 chips being so small and cheap to produce ,they can continue to profit.
just idle speculation at this point , but its logical.
