USEFUL / FAVOURITE FIREFOX EXTENSIONS

Not gonna create a forum for this, but this could be a great thread, as iam sure we have all found really useful firefox extensions.

I use sage for my rss reader, great stuff.
Foxmarks for book mark synchronization across multiple machines.
and today i installed an experimental add on, fox tabs.

Now, ive been doing tonssssssssss of research for my new job and i often find myself with like 5 windows open and each with like 20 tabs. thats a total nightmare, especially on my 17 inch monitor.

I installed aero 3d to get the vista/mac 3d tabbing, which has helped but still doesnt solve my problem.

Gentlemen (and uh ladies???) foxtab brings the aero 3d flipping to yur individual tabs within firefoxx and! it has multiple tab options, using the ctrl +tab function for firefoxx, you get an in browser 3d flip as well as a thumbnail gallery and a slide show option for your tabs!! GOD SEND!!

i have other add ons but not on this machine, so ill update my list when i go home.

AdBlock Plus - 90% of ads gone with this
No Script - Turns off most scripts on sites, even a few ad based ones, love it
Flashgot - choose between opening, downloading with ff's dl manager or with a 3rd party app
Greasmonkey - a bazillion scripts to do almost anything you might want to do

zotero, great tool for snagging text and links and stuff to include in your projects. great help indeed.

bookmarks scroll bar. Another life saver for me, adds a scroll bar inside your book marks, makes it easy to get to them.

Launchy. Not really a firefoxx add on, it sits on your desktop and allows you to pull up any application on your machine by typing the name, it also has a tie into firefoxx that allows it to pull up any page you have previously visited or is in your bookmarks, great tool.

bit defender also adds itself to firefox extensions as an anti phishing and ad blocker, but firefoxx already does a more thane excellent job of blocking ads, once yur machine isnt a whorehouse of malware.

it also adds itself to msn and blocks those annoying, hey click this link to see pictures of *click* blargblarg wormswromswromswwroms

wrt greasemonkey (GM), and those that might try it and be like..."WTF?! i need to know scripting and/or java??!! FACK THAT!!"

http://userscripts.org/ has a repository of greasemonkey scripts, and a neat JS installer for it that GM can use to install scripts similar to how the FF extension manager works (related maybe?)

I'd also suggest getting one of those updater scripts to keep your scripts in good working order.

Linkification - useful in 'acquisition' forums, making text links clickable so you don't have to copy/paste into your browser.
