That's definitely a step in the right direction.
At US$179.99, it is still too pricey but a great find.
You could get a 15" Digital Photo Frame for US$199.00, so it is very hard to justify an 8" at that price, even with wifi considered.
I'd say I am willing to spend about US$60.00 on a good 7" - 8" Digital Photo Frame.
US$80.00 for a 10" - 12" unit
US$150.00 on a decent 15" Frame. (That's a small painting replacement on your living room wall right there, and a helluva lot more dynamic!)

A little better, but still too much $$
http://www.amazon.com/Portable-USA-PU-12WB-Wireless-12-1-Inch/dp/B0013XN7U8/ref=pd_sim_dbs_p_27This one weighs in @ US$149.00, which isn't bad considering it is a 12" screen. That's pretty massive as far as photo frames go.
They took an interesting angle on "wireless", going the bluetooth route instead of wifi. Must be cheaper. Though there is a caveat, these folks will ship you the bluetooth module for free, it isn't included in the box. (Bluetooth is likely a cheaper option, but I would have preferred regular wifi, if only for ubiquity)
On the cheap end, this 8" frame, looks pretty snazzy for the money. A measly US$44.99
Amazon had it listed @ twice the price, hence the non "trini credit card friendly" link
