been so long since ive been on this forums....everything has changed...the people, the games, but the worst change of all...your mindset towards the thing we all love....games...
Now as a gamer of Trinidad and Tobago, who would wish to see the promotion of E-sports in the Caribbean, it pains me to see that my fellow gamers are not willing to support an event the GOVERNMENT is hosting. now its understandable when normal users do not get the big picture, but when moderators cannot grasp the importance of this event, then how can this organization?
In my personal observation, it seems that the ministry is testing us, to see if the gaming community is huge and active enough in plans for future investment. Which means further sponsorship, endorsement and even (im dreamign now) sending multiple teams abroad for regional/international tournaments. Now if they get the opposite idea, where we are NOT active and do not take the event seriously, it just means we all have set OURSELVES back, and the only person to blame is ourself, not the government, the people in charge or the organizations, just the gamer.
Now if we, the community do not have the will to support a gaming event just because "oh it doh have my game dey" or "where the shooters? this ting is real balls" how do you expect them to take us seriously if you all make comments like this? if we are all advocates in supporting the gaming community, casual, hardcore and professional, you WILL come out to this event, lay aside all  the bullshit of TG/GATT wars, yuh game not there and so on, because in the end, we are ALL gamers and that is the one thing that makes us who we are today. And if you do not come out to support this community, you never were...

and jdrks yuh copy paste that from TG, >.<

My 2 cents

on the battlefield, you must learn in the battles that ended in victory or defeat...you must think about if those lives were either spent for a good cause or or wasted

all that NONSENSE that
xen now post dere

lol take it or leave it, support a nonsensical event

that is PRECISELY the kind of backward GOVERNMENTAL thinking that is ruining the country and would threaten to ruin gaming.

The government is/are not professional gamers. so they cant possibly think themselves teh authority on throwing a gaming event. THey need to consult with the appropriate professionals to pull off these events sucessfully. The gaming populace would not promote such events during times where GAMERS are not likely to participate.

The take it or leave it mentality is NOTTTTTT the way to go, believe me, i work in government and am utterly disgusted with how disconnected they are from reality.

So that little speech you just gave, SHOVE IT.

If this event was so important, they would NOT have had it on WEEKDAYS where working adults can't even attend. And no where was it mentioned that only kids were invited. And that game list.....SUCKS! Fine. If you want to cater for children as well, give them a separate pool of games to play, not ONE set of titles for everyone. And on a weekday? Nah man they eh serious.
