Flow has come to all of sando and its environs... We have termination points outside our homes... The roaming technician guy told me by the end of the week (3weeks ago) that the line on my street should have digital cable service on it. From you guys experience, how long would i have to wait to have my flow modem up and running? As well as any problems u guys faced that i may experience and have advice on???

Well I live on the outskirts of Sando and we don't even have digital cable boxes. So I would say first thing is yuh gotta have that much, if yuh don't then internet is still a ways off my fellow gatter.

But yea pplz in the north, how long from the time they ran lines till you got ure boxes and others stuff so???

Ummm..the whole process takes an hour tops. They come, they run line, they pt your box outside, they put your box inside and you're on.

Still a long wait I suppose...

Environs, not penal and debe

Not so far... i mean like vistabella marabella, gulf view etc etc. I think i see them even doing claxton bay... On the main road.

I doh live penal or debe, that doesn't fall under outskirts imho. That aside, FLOW isn't that great for Xbox Live... so even so i'm not jumping off the wagon just to get it. I'd say Flow doesn't want the money ppl in south have apparently, shame the criminals know better.

First they have to change everyone to the DIGITAL boxes because that's what you need to get flow broadband. If you still have analog boxes, they may take a lil while to do the upgrades but unlike TSTT they don't take 2-3yrs....

I guess they may install the digital ones since they'll want to offer broadband there as soon as possible.

Once you have those digital boxes you're set. For me, I called them on a Thursday, they asked if they can come the next day!! yea you heard me the NEXT DAY!! as in Friday.

Technician guy called for directions, came and ran the line in my room to the pc with plenty extra cable in case I wanted to move anything in the future. Whole thing took 20mins tops and I was online. Take that Blink!! lol

Hey I not saying they perfect buy my bro works TSTT and I don't think I've ever had more probs in my life with a company whether it was waiting almost a year for them to give my bro blink which lead me to get flow even though it pissed off my bro cause I livin by him. So now I have flow in my room and Blink is in his room.....

Or sucky mobile service etc...

I don't think TSTT can be beaten in terms of crappy customer service on any level right now....

I'm in gulf view area...and well I haven't noticed any flow trucks nearby...
The procedure is if I see them running lines on the street...that means the digital is coming soon right?

And for you guys who had the upgrade from analog to digital..
Do I have to call them to set up digital service? Or do they come on their own and re-run the lines etc..?

If I remember correctly there were a swarm of flow trucks/contractors etc changing lines in our area before we got the digital boxes.

Think they called to ask when they can come to change the boxes not exactly sure.

the tech guy told me that they call and come... But gulf view should be getting it soon according to him, man had the proposed area maps n shizzle... and come round in a tiny flow truck... LOL look on ure lamp post and count the wires .LOLz

Totally new cable, yes.

While flow's customer service is bad, the service itself isnt that bad where you have to be calling them every minute to find out why the net has cut out for the 4th tor the day and when it is coming back up and having to ask the indian dude "what did you say?" because you're trying to decode the thick accent.

At least when i'm being bul$hitted by flow I get a local voice that I understand to listen to.
