Well they had to as Xbox 720 started development way earlier than expected....

I'm predicted DX10  , perhaps DX11 level graphics chips for the new Xbox / PS3 .

about 2-4 Gigs of RAM , probably GDDR5 .

A newer version of the Cell for the PS4 with more cores and a higher clock... A faster power pc based chip for the Xbox.

Everything built on a 45nm process or better...



 A new Wii makes sense , the currant hardware is basically just an overclocked Gamecube.. there isn't much you can do with it at all.
 

I'm betting nintendo will continue to perfect motion sensing tech.... and Sony/Microsoft will have Wiimote-like controllers for their new consoles.

Makes you wonder why they even quoted this... 2010 just around the corner... and the management shift? Now i wonder how much more/less reliable they are going to be... Will stay tuned..

And what's this $#!t about "PS3 waggle"? first it was the motion sensing tech, then the weather & news...channels i suppose is the word...now this?? Seriously...take a look at the wording in my sig..

Really, men like me cyar even afford ah ps3  and now they coming ps4. I was expecting dat someway down 2013 or something. I mean, how much ppl could actually say they get their money's worth with that thing. But is ah good thing nonetheless that they started early, allow them to stabalize their formulae

As for next gen nintendo, dx10 gfx + motion sensing = $$$$

As for next gen XBOX, same opinion as last, if the game that good it will come out for pc.

well trying to be ultra optimistic....

It is possible that  the same PS4 game  disk smay be backwards compatible with the PS3  , Blue ray has enough storage space  to host both versions of the game , plus the PS3 is fast enough to play alot of the same game engines a PS4 could... with seriously downgraded graphics.

so what would be the point of buying the newer more expensive hardware if the older hardware can play the same games as the newer one??

i dont think ive ever seen forward compatibility in ANYTHING far less in electronics.
