Just saw Goemon. Went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. 90% CG like Casshern the movie, but was a lot better.

If you're in for some over-the-top, anime style action, then look now further.

Look 4 more one time  .....

14 Blades
 - Donnie Yen's in it......talk done.

An Empress and The Warriors  - Donnie in this one too, so yuh know what time it is. lol.  But seriously, a very good movie here ppl. Don't miss out.

The Restless  - No Donnie here, but it still mad. Epic martial arts similar to Shadowless Sword.

Beautiful  - Now this movie was creepy. Very good film, but just as scary. If sexy girls in Korea really have it this had, well hmm.....doh watch this wit ur girl fellas. It WILL freak them out.

Yup, watched them all within the last month. all the movies that will ever post here are ones i've already seen and could recommend. if u could only watch 1, make it 'an empress and the warriors'.

I watched Merantau yesterday. Slow start, but the action got REALLY good later on.

Btw...anyone else think that the guy with the glasses in the final fight would make a good Lee in a proper Tekken movie?

I've had the Restless for years now. I liked it lots. I wanted to make some MUGEN chars out of the cast.

I've seen the Merentau Warrior to buy but I pretty much ignored it. Guess I'll have to get it now.

Postin' some films that I saw waaaay back when my collection only just started. Cyah remember exactly what some of them were about, but I noted years ago that they were freakin' mad.....

Silmido

Fighter in the Wind

Public Enemy  - ah remember this one cause of wha de nasty-man was doin at 0:35. moms was askin' "wha kinda nastiness is dat u watchin!?!" lol.

2000 AD

2LDK  - i always remembered this one too. here's the IMDb synopsis : 'Two actresses who have auditioned for one part, sharing the same apartment with opposite personalities equals a night which either neither of them will forget - if they survive!' this one was soo much fun!

2LDK - 2003 - TRAILER

Fighter in the wind is the story of the man behind KyoKushin Karate, Choi Baedal.

His legacy inspired many game characters and one of his students was the inspiration behind Ryu.

The movie I thought was a work of fiction. Imagine my surprise to learn that is a true story!

How the hell a korean will steal away to japan and then beat up all the best martial arts in the land and start a world movement of warriors? madness.

WHAT? The man who was in large part responsible for the fighting beast that is Bruce Lee? Ppl don't know this? There was a Master-Student photo at the end of the movie for goodness' sake. No wonder I had to translate/narrate in CC8 when I went. WTMC.

at the end of the movie they might make the connection but it's pretty hard to put two and two together before that.

While every trini has heard of bruce lee, very very few have ever heard of ip man. (well until now, lol)

If you ask the average man on the street what was bruce lee's fighting style's origin, I'm certain they won't know it was wing chun. They probably won't know his style was Jeet June Do either. lol

not everyone is an enthusiast.

Good thing we have this thread yes, foreign gems iwmc.

well if u decided to go back and read previous posts, u would see that ppl usually post movies here that they find entertaining.

if we were only to post the best of the best, this thread would be very short. so lemme hear this now, which ones post aren't gems in your opinion.

oh, an BTW, when u find something special and worth a look between piles of crap, i call it a Gem. so yeah, i kinda kno what a gem is FYI.
