i've order 7 of of these 24" monitors 5 were 6ms and the others 2 were 3ms

my bad Rage it's not 2ms it's 3ms

I've seen some of these real cheap online but they were refurbished. Is it new as in "new" or new as in factory refurbished??

I think for the sake of keeping things organised, try to put all your items available in one thread please, it's kinda annoying to see so many threads open, especially if all are available at the same time.

Maybe if there was some time in between the items being sold, then the multiple threads won't be so bad...

did some more research on this monitor and I see what caused the confusion with the ms rating.

Initially, it was a MVA panel in this monitor, rated @ 6ms response time. MVA is a superior technology to the more common TN type panels.

Soyo changed the panel to a TN, which has the lower rating of 3ms even though it is otherwise inferior. Most likely to cut costs.

The first 5 monitors you got were hot items. Really great for the price.

After reading the reviews, I'd have taken this one myself @ $3000 if it were still an MVA with the 6ms.

When you put both the 3ms TN and 6ms MVP side bye side it looked the same

This soyo 3ms still owns with the normal TN Panel

Summary of LCD Panel Technology

* S-IPS panels are generally considered the best all around panel type, but they are more expensive and very few are made.
* S-PVA/MVA panels offer better color reproduction and viewing angles than TN panels, have slightly worse response times than TN or S-IPS, offer the best contrast ratios, may suffer from color shifting or input lag and have higher availability than S-IPS panels.
* TN panels are cheaper with fast response times but have inferior color reproduction, contrast ratios and viewing angles.

nice summary of the panel technologies there.

That input lag on the MVA sounds scary. Last thing I want in my monitor is input lag.
