I just finished Act 1 and its incredible. I'm stopping playing it now tho, gonna finish gta 4 first and then go back and play MGS 1, 2 and 3 first.
The only disappoint so far is some of the stuff u could do in MGS3 is now gone and it doesn't do a full installation only installations per act that replace the previous.

The only things they really took out was the shooting while hanging and interrogation, the patdowns are good enough though.

You guys haven't seen anything yest just wait for Act 3, your minds will be blown.

This game is probably the best game I have Ever played, I don't think I have sat down and enjoyed so many aspects of a game all at once. Some of the cutscenes lives your jaw on the ground really but then again I'm a big fan of the series.  I'm at the end of act 4 and if your a die hard fan you'll really Dig it.

the Interrogation has been addressed in the game by designing a plot that doesn't need it. Snake knows where to go, what to do next and who he is looking for. In MGS3 everything was unknown.....even the man mc backpack that fall off when he land :D
Hanging may have been useful, but at the end of act 2 i dont see WHERE he could hang from really and shoot when it have mc Mortars and gun turrets you can control. It may be useful later on but if you cant use the thing before the end of act 2 then its really useless.
From the attention to detail no DOUBT these things were considered before they were removed, looking at the same game for 4 years, I can pretty much assume they have covered every single nook and cranny we, or anyone, can possibly think of should or should not be removed....AND give a valid reason why.

There was only one place where I actually realised the hanging while shooting was missing but it's a big spoiler to some so I can't say the exact location.  That was the only part in the whole game that I notices it, there really isn't anywhere else.

I finished it in 19 hours. The ending was very good. VERRRRRYYYYYYYY long (about an hour?) but explained EVERYTHING you wanted to know about Metal Gear and ties up ALL the lose ends.
I am very satisfied with the end of the game.
Wow, haven't played a game so hard since God Of War 2. Made a 12 hour straight run from Act 3 to Act 5 last night, walk off the PS3 at 3am. Dat is GAME!
Now to try this online thing.....what you say dere Greyfox?
now ON TO NINJA GAIDEN 2

I am going to MAKE my cousin get this game, a game with such a positive response is definitely worth taking a shot at (no pun intended), although, this is making me think Gears 2 is going to get...*grrr*...a perfect score too...in that event, make no sense in refusing to invest in another 7th Gen console...tried with Ps3 a while back and I couldn't get through with that, will try again, but can anyone give their opinion of the online mode in this game? I want to hear about that too(been ignoring reviews lately)

@ shiv, I'm always down for a game man, hopefully you have a mic cause this game requires teamwork online to win...most of the times.

MGS4 will blow you away man, the cutscenes transition so smoothly into gameplay that you would wonder why other games haven't tried it yet.

MGS4 on 360 Rumors Gain Ground
« Reply #57 on: October 14, 2008, 06:04:11 PM »
Quote
According to a Tokyo Game Show report from Japanese investment research firm Morningstar, Metal Gear Solid 4 may find its way to the Xbox 360 after all. Morningstar published a general article covering multiplatform trends that features a quote from a Konami public relations representative that should fuel rumors for months to come. The rep is quoted as saying, regarding MGS4, "We're actively looking into a release for the Xbox 360." While this isn't a confirmation of it coming, it does lend hope to those Xbox 360 owners who haven't plunked down money on a PS3.

However, this little quote doesn't clear the major hurdle Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has listed for the title coming to Xbox 360. He has been quoted in several interviews saying a port was likely impossible due to the game being optimized for the PS3 hardware, specifically Blu-ray discs.

Defo man, I mean it was kojima himself who said it's never coming to the 360 and he's tired of the question.  Can you imagine the die hard fans reaction if he does come out and say "ohh well I want it released on the 360 now".  I don't care much either way but I mean the man gave his word.
