Help Port forwarding

If having the Gateway and DNS set to the same IP is a problem, then I wonder how I was able to download the 120+ GB of anime etc. using Azureus???

Note that the configuration I'm addressing is the PC.

The router would have a different config for it's external interface (meaning the internet side)
The DNS from tstt is something like 196.3.132.1 and 196.3.132.4
The Gateway changes depending on the server you connect to for your IP

Ok, I need help with the port forwarding now... with utorrent that is.. I just cant seem to get that elusive green light!
It just doesn't seem to be working at all.. I tried everyting from the guides on portforward.com and still nothing ie set the ports in the Virtual Servers.
Does anybody get the green light on utorrent?
I thought at first it was because of the 2 routers i have, the paradyne and the linksys but I connected the paradyne directly to my pc and still nothing.
Anybody have an idea of what to do?

gimme a min ill post up a short tut...

EDIT:

-enter the config page for the modem (default 192.168.1.1)

-go to the path below


-open up utorrent client and find the following, you need to know your port number
REMEMBER TO DISABLE RANDOMIZING PORTS OR YUH BUMKLAT IN FIRE AGAIN!


-bring up the modem config page and click on "add" enter the info as it is below (obviously it will be your port number)

click "save/apply"

-should look like this


-bring back up utorrent, Options -> Speed Guide, then clicky the pink button


-you should get this

call and check to see if your firewall is off. If the firewall is not the problem you might want to dmz the ip to your router, and let it handle port forwading from now on

right ok sorry again for the long reply.. busy alot lately..
ok right well I know for sure the firewall is disabled on their end, so I know thats not the problem..
umm how do I do the next part??
