Ghosts get busted one more timeSomething strange in the neighbourhoodBy Wily Ferret: Friday, 16 November 2007, 7:27 AMWHO YA GONNA CALL? The answer, it seems, is Vivendi Universal, which plans to release a new game based on the Ghostbusters franchise in 2008.More excitingly, the firm has convinced the film's original actors - Dan Ackroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson and Bill Murray - to reprise their vocal roles for the game, making this a truly authentic ghost busting adventure. The game will be out on all formats, with development studios Terminal Reality (Blood Rayne) handling PC, PS3 and X360 and Red Fly Studio working on the PS2, Wii and DS ports. For those with concerns about story - with video games not often noted for their strong dramatic premise - the original writing team of Ackroyd, Ramis and Murray are also penning the script, which makes this about as close to Ghostbusters 3 as fans are ever going to get, we expect. Will the Marshmallow Man make a comeback appearance? We can but hope. The INQ awaits its imminent Sliming with baited breath.
