Guys friend of mind is in Need of a house. to buy, it's a long story, but to make things short, he can get his hands on only 400,000,000 any one know a house for sale around that price, this is Urgent. I tried looking around but every thing is 1.5 mil or higher
I'm currently in France. and I can't do much out here for him. any post that can point him in the right direction. Thanking you in Advance

Wow.

Well, I personally can't tell you where there would be houses to buy (the ones that I've seen are obscenely expensive to the point where you might have to sign away your soul just to afford the rent), but, if you want my advice, try getting somebody you know down here to skim through the Guardian (just after the classifieds). Sometimes, there's a page with properties for rent or sale. I'll check the papers and see what I can dig up.


By the way....I'm sure you meant $400,000, right? $400,000,000 is enough to buy a mansion!

yes around $450,000 sorry for the typeo, well any valuable  post would a +++, he have been checking the dailys. no luck. but keep the post comming. what about repossessed housing,? how might one go about, getting such info?

Tell your friend that he should contact the HDC. In the past month they have had lists published in the daily newspapers about houses for "Sale by Mortgagee".
