Uwe Boll, the German director behind such horrid video game adaptations as House of the Dead, BloodRayne, Dungeon Siege and Postal, has recently admitted that he would retire from making movies if enough people want him to stop.
..................."I'm not a f**king retard like Michael Bay or other people running around in the business or Eli Roth making the same shitty movies over and over again," says Boll. "If you really look at my movies you will see my real genius you know, and if you go on May 23 on Postal you will see that I deliver a movie what nobody else delivered in the last 10 years, what is way better as all that social critic George Clooney bullshit what you get every f**king weekend."Pretty infallible, but if it's not clear yet, Boll clearly illustrates that you're at fault, not him. "You have to really wake up and you have to see me what I am," he says. "I am the only genius in the whole f**king business. Goodbye."Genius? And how! He's got a legion of anti-fans paying him more attention than ever as Postal approaches...............
Making movies aside I gotta give him respect for beating up Lowtax in that boxing match.Lowtax could use a few shots to the head.
I find people who rant like that - calling shit about both me, and George Clooney - comes from someone screaming because he is not being heard. He is obviously a sad being. When you ask 'do I care?' Not in the slightest.
He can't lose.
The Kojima Productions Report, the English companion to Hideo Kojima's audioblog HIDECHAN, released its second installment today, and it's already bearing fruit! Host Ryan Payton delivers a message from Kojima-san dispelling recent "nasty rumors" that Uwe Boll is being considered to direct an upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie. Says Kojima:"Absolutely not! I don't know why Uwe Boll is even talking about this kind of thing. We've never talked to him. It's impossible that we'd ever do a movie with him."
One of those people, meaningful or not, was apparently infamous game-to-film adaptation specialist Uwe Boll, reports MTV. "I got in contact with Paul Sams of Blizzard, and he said, 'We will not sell the movie rights, not to you...especially not to you,'" related Boll. "Because it's such a big online game success, maybe a bad movie would destroy that ongoing income, what the company has with it."
If you don't watch his movie, he wins.
The german govt picks up 100% of the investement monies. Yes you read right. 100%. So there is no financial loss from his efforts.
The only thing Uwe has going for him is the shelter that his Government is providing for him. And, if he keeps churning out monumental bombs, how long do you think before they're just going to get fed up covering his a** each and every time and just yank the rug from under him?
