The rising number of female doctors is "bad for medicine", and universities should recruit more men, a GP warns.

Writing in the British Medical Journal, Dr Colin McKinstry said female doctors were more likely to work part-time, leading to staffing problems.

Women, who now outnumber men in medical schools, were also less likely to take part in training or research, he said.

Perhaps its cause he's playing football for the other team... or perhaps he's been slapped with one too many sexual harassment suites... who knows... or maybe too many female doctors in the hospital have led to a decrease in the proper function of the male doctors on account of 'closet sessions' who knows...

getting into medical school is HARD no @ss ,unless you get straight A's you can't dream of getting into UWI med , and even the people with straight A's don't always get in.

 Girls get better grades so have a natural advantage

 You have to give the man props for being brave , he might not getting any feminist nookie for the rest of his life .

 And he does have a point :


 Girls want to be pediatricians and general practitioners , they shy away from less people centric things like surgery and research , unless the balance is restored we'll have a glut of pediatricians  and a shortage of researchers , teachers etc.
