Imax films on a mobile?
Great stupid ideas of all time

SOME BUFFOONS at Imax have spent shedloads in a bid to distribute their supersized films on mobile phones.
In a press release, Imax said it had hired Northstar Media to stick 21 titles onto TV, VOD, mobile and broadband platforms as the giant-screen exhibitor's exclusive worldwide representative.
While Imax films have appeared on DVD and Blu-ray this sort of makes sense. We say sort of because generally Imax films are a bit dull and are only interesting because you see them on a screen the size of a morbidly-obese blue whale in a purpose-built movie theatre.
Who could forget the dramatic violence and character development that was depicted in the flick ‘Into the Deep’? I did, we had to look it up, it was about sharks.
So who would want to see these dire movies stripped of the only impact they might have by having the content reduced to the size of a two and a half inch screen?
Answers on the back of a postage stamp please.
