TG/GASU - Guilty Gear XX AC, Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament - Sunday 7th October - UWI

I know its really late to be posting this up, but there's an GGXX AC Tournament planned for this Sunday 7th October at GASU's event hosted at the Student Activity Center in UWI.

GASU members get in the door free, everyone else pays 10$.

Tournament fee is $15.00.

At LEAST 8 people will need to enter for this to go down.Prize money won't be all that great. Basically it'll be the pot + $100 as the prize money with a 70/30 ratio for 1st and 2nd.

Starting Time - 1pm ( REACH EARLY FOR ONCE NAH MCS LIKE HALF 12)

Rules -
Double Elimination tournament - 16 man cap
2/3 games , default time / damage.
NO EX characters allowed.
Character switching allowed.
Button mapping + macros allowed.

Other stuff going down possibly -
Naruto Shippuden PS2 sweat
Smash Bros Melee sweat
Other stuff I can't remember right now

Yu-Gi-Oh tournament:

$30 tournament fee.

$500 - 1st place.

$200 - 2nd place.

Advanced format, following September 2007 Forbidden/Restricted List.

6 round Swiss format, 20 minutes per match.

Registration starts @ 10am, tournament starts 12pm.

Also, pre-registration is allowed by calling/texting 469-1380, or sending myself a PM in here, registration fee will be due on the morning of the tournament. Please indicate for pre-registration, if you have a UDE number, if not, further information will be needed to assign the required number.

Yea, other games so far would just be for casual play. Also, there's supposed to be casual play for board games as well (Scrabble, Chess etc.). In addition, casual play for Magic: The Gathering would be permitted as well.

Same here, but for Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
Got a new team here that I want to take for a spin.

Might end up taking part in the Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament, but I'm not really going to 'play to win' as such. I'd be more or less absorbed into the console war, if anything.

On a side note....I got Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core yesterday and....meh. Didn't do much to really change my outlook on the series, even after a few hours of play. To me, it's an example of a game that has spawned too many mini-sequels that hardly has much differences between titles, other than the cosmetic. Still, good luck to all involved.
