That's EXACTLY what i'm saying and 10 mins is a optimistic time, even so 30 mins total is still too much time.

people have access to legit versions of windows enterprise and others via many sources.

For instance i have certain msdn access etc to the windows (all versions)... so the man could very well be legit with enterprise....
Yeah, I know bout MSDN and all dat jazz, been wit d program a while, but make sure yuh read and understand d licensing dat accompanies those copies of Windows et al, because dey usually not meant to be run on production boxes, and aren't meant for home consumption - dey typically only meant to be run on test/dev boxes. So yeah, my MSDN ultimate licence gives me full access to the plethora of Microsoft software, but it doh give me carte blanche permission to install it any and everywhere. Jus sayin. To be honest, if I was still in TT, I wouldn't really care so much, buh livin in d people an dem backyard (Canada), I feel d need to keep certain tings proper-like.

I got MSDN access from work but one of the lowest levels of access i.e no software keys...for exactly that same reason. Man (myself included) would use key JUST because.

I can test it...AFTER I do a system image of course. :)

...and I as well thought that you could only use the Enterprise
version of Windows 7 with a volume licensing (KMS) server.

EA or not...am I missing something here?

There are both KMS (local server) and MAK (internet activation) keys for Enterprise. We have both. At first we got the KMS then I requested the MAK.
