nothing to suspend belief here wildchild. no one is gonna buy that "gaming not being sport" line from center of excellence. period.

Unfortunately, tourney delays and postponement is nothing new to the world.

I won't go so far as to say it was totally disorganized though seeing as the details about the tourney and rules have been posted for some time and up for discussion. As were the selection of the tournament games themselves.

Tickets are being made available at various GLs all over the island, As far east as Arima and as far South as Chaguanas. Didn't get confirmation from our peeps in Sando yet, awaiting response. Do you know of additional places in south that you'd like to see tickets at?

Since this is your first post, let me inform you that the TT in GATT stands for Trinidad and Tobago. lol. We will definitely let all our members, GLs and the public know about the event when the venue business is sorted out.

Do spread the word and refer peeps to the site for details and updates. The more the merrier.

Will be forming a team shortly to manage tournaments for the year, looking for volunteers. If you're keen on the tourney scene, you're welcome to join and make sure the events kick ass.

I JewishMonk actuallly am serious about this tourney and I stick behind ZLS.
Even though it might have been just a bit sloppy in the beginning as all new things are I actually called and spoke to their pplz about it and I think they know about what their doing.

Last discussion was about a new venue. Awaiting confirmation on that.

Considering Trincity mall. Also got a friend of mine working on MovieTowne. There AC wasn't working for the rooms we wanted to use. Hopefully that would be fixed in time for there to be an option.

Any other ideas for a good venue?

It's real. We are going to jazz up the graphics and do an announcement by the end of the week, but that is the plan.

Going to lay out all the games there, and based on which is the most popular, that is, has the most entrants, set the prize money accordingly.

To make it fair. Don't want to have a $10,000 COD tourney for 16 people and then a $500.00 smash brothers brawl event for 64 gamers. Should also be interesting to see if we have more COD4 xbox or PC supporters.

What do you think?

What the latest on the tournament? Have they found a venue and decided upon a date?

I tried to register on the carigamers site for the COD 4 PC but it told me I don't have permission even though it says on the site I'm logged in. Someone needs to check into that.

That happened to someone recently too.
They logged out and logged back in and it was fine.

Still working on the venue. We have UWI, Trincity and MovieTowne under consideration at the moment.

Feel free to suggest any other venue that you think would kick ass (save for the Center of Excellence of course)

Hey we did not abandon the thread...
We are making preparations for the fest as well as our animated films we are currently working on for Animae Caribe and for theatres in 2009. After all we are a film studio. Anyways our website is undergoing a complete overhull on everything in preparing for our first official movie. Will be advertised (at fest).
