It was said in another thread that Team and Lone Wolves (free for all) categories will be for Call of Duty 4.

are console only characters allowed ? In Soul Calibur they are usually banned.

To laertes: 1. There is still an individual Tourney for COD4  2. The proposed slots will run along side all other comps and starts at 8:30  3. The team-based prize will be distributed as $2,500 per team player (4 players)

To rb: Yes thats true... and it is with us as well. We want a fair fight.
To Crixx_Creww: Thats 3 possible rounds e.g. you only need to win two rounds yes but if you win the first and your competitor win the second, obviously we'll need a third round to declare the winner.

Zero That 3 rounds only thing 4 Tekken 5 sounding messed up. Thats a big turn off. It should have been best two games(not rounds) out of three. I'm sure most ppl would agree with me. Lastely is Joysticks allowed?

again, this doesnt answer my question, in the pdf yu said that the first man to win 3 rounds gets the money.
if that means that the first man to beat 3 people in a row wins, thats totally messed up, first man that gets on that console can beat three men in a row, making the competition end after 4 whole people have competed.

I am not in agreement with this somewhat high limit and its not because I am young (quite the opposite unfortunately) but rather because I know a few enthusiastic young ppl that would enter this competition, however 17 is potentially just above their reach. Is there some legal reason for the age limit?

Can't be...

Look at the age limit for the other games.

Fifa is 15+ but the ESRB rating is 'E' for everyone.

Tekken, Street Fighter, Soul Calibur and Smash Bros. are rated 'Teen' by the ESRB but only Tekken has a 15+ rating and the other games are 12+ and 10+.

Therefore the organizers seem to have their own reasons for these age limits.

Yes its because of the Age limit made by the makers of the game... however, after reading some of your comments I we will lower the age limit for FIFA 07, Tekken 5 and COD 4 TO 14 years and up.
Quite frankly, some of the board members are a bit strict, in some cases its for good reasons, but I must side with you guys on this one.

To laertes: I don't know the answer to your other two question but as far as I know registration is fee but you have to buy a ticket that costs $80. That is also the price for spectators.

Your welcome... anyways, tickets will be running next week starting Thursday 13th. As usual, we always have a lil' promotion with our stuff... in other words; buy your ticket early and get $15.00 off, buying tickets for all five festivals and get 1 of your tickets free. Tickets can be bought at; Runes Long Circular Mall and at Zerolimit Studios. We'll also be distributing tickets to Gatt as well.

One more complaint about GF rules.
GATT would most likely be sending in more than 2 teams to run COD4 in GF.
I was reading out the rules to some of the members who did not read it on the forum and their was a general dislike of the chosen perks for search and destroy.
Most of us said that it should atleast be Hardcor Search & Destroy and have such perks as Extreme Conditioning, UAV Jammer, Clamores & Overkill. These perks make up the core of search strategy wise. With the given perks it would be more like a death match with a bomb.
Try it yourselves and see the difference.
Hardcore with the lest of perks above is tactical and takes thinking.

Well I just wanted to get the point through before it was too late.
