So, however good you think de movie goin to be ... It a hell of a lot better. The movie had the whole place laughing out loud for a good minute or two straight in some parts. Plus, you get to see the dream match up, of course. Bottom line ... By the time the movie done, you go have a big smile on your face, whether you like kick ups or not.

lol, the misses and I watched this "flim" at movietowne last night, and let me tell you, right now we owe Derek Chin a piece of money. That $45 a ticket wasn't enough for the entertainment The Forbidden Kingdom provided.
Man, I wanted to hate that jason guy, but Jackie and Jet did it for me. Pappyshowed the mc whole show.
It was masterful the way the two kungfu masters (no pun intended) carried the flick and the Jade War Lord knew his role too. Bad from mi born.
I mean, once you see Jackie Chan in a movie's credits, chances are it isn't going to take itself seriously, and it didn't. So this isn't a hard core kung fu kickup and it pokes fun at those all the way through and the naming conventions of typical "kick up" moves, styles and philosophies.
Ironically, there is tons of that very martial arts goodness in there, and I mean tons. Not too much to get you jaded but it's fight from beginning to end. Drunken Fist, Praying Mantis, Tiger Palm, Eagle Claw, Become the water, etc...etc...
Thankfully, the action isn't all wiffy Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon stuff. Enough strikes land hard, Fist of Legend style, that you feel it in your chest while sitting in the theater. Great for appreciating the punishment being doled out on the screen. lol
and OMG the asian women were fine like wine. They could have spent a lil more time in the bath house mcmcmc.
Like vivman said, you walk out with a smile on your face. Sure you can find faults and lots of it doesn't make sense but you'll be too happy to care.
I give it a 12/10

I didn't want to give away too much in my mini-review so I didn't go into much detail. De movie definitely gives me a much nicer image when I hear the word "Sparrow" now.

the 6:30 show in cc8 was the bunch of happy ppl trincity prob ever see. I saying it now no movie for this year, will challenge this movie in all the aspects it brought together quite masterfully(pun intended) ... batman will rule in story, iron man baddest suit prob ever on screen. But damn how he put it two masters cant train one student... But these two did... Some of you may want to chap me for saying this but alas... *mailman disappears and a sliced lock of hair remains*
