hmmm ok then.. just watchin ur 3dmark screen cap, looks default to me, nice score though. i think u can score higher with that rig, but nice score still, i might have to be on d brink of fryin my chip to reach da score...

If your video-card is a factory overclocked version, then yes, you would show a performance increase
over another, faster CPU.  Remember both your CPUs are at stock speeds, which doesn't really affect
3DMark06 as much.  If you review my benchie thread you'll see what I mean.

I'm getting the modular thermaltake psu as a result to replace my original rasta unit. That way I won't have to have all those cables running around in the case unnecessarily.

What are the speeds of that 8800GT? BFG is known for pushing the limits on their hardware out of the box.

I'll likely stay stock until someone bumps me out of the top 10, then I'll try a lil OC on the vid card to stay in the game. lol

rasta isn't from the psu i have total 5 leads outta that, is the wires for the 5 fans, satas, and USBs

well it starting i might not move from stock till i get ma after market cooler and some time to do a proper o/c

hmm @ aftermarket cooler.

I'll probably go quad for the 3dmark bragging rights instead of the after market cooler route. Seems you get a noticeable jump in your score by moving to quad, though that doesn't carry over to most games.

thanks for the card speeds philo. missed it in the fray. mine are 600/900/1500 for reference.

lol, my rasta is 95% from the PSU. Got about 11 locks from that device alone. Fans probably responsible for another 2.
