GAMEFEST 2008 VOTES ARE IN!

Thoughout the process of the 3 polls created, we have listened to all your comments and as we mentioned before;
its all about the players... So here's the final list;
1. Call of Duty 4 - $10,000 (Team based as well as lone wolves) - PC / XBOX 360
2. Fifa 2007 - $10,000 - PC / PC CONTROLLER
3. Tekken 5 - $10,000 - PS2

Also for the other well voted games, we have agreed to run smaller competitions;
1. Smash Brothers Brawl - $500 - NINTENDO Wii
2. Halo 3 - $500 - XBOX 360
3. Street Fighter 3 - $500 - PS2
4. Soul Calibur 3 - $500 - PS2
5. Grand Turismo 4 - $500 - PS2

The GameFest will run on March 24th (Easter Monday) at the Centre of Excellence to begin the gaming season.
We have also agreed to run other Gamefest Competitions during the two month holidays! (info to be announced)

Kinda disappointed Soul Calibur 3 got placed in the $500.00 category.

I mean both SC 3 and smash brothers brawls got the same percentage of votes withs Tekken 5 DR the winner so what gives Smash the edge. How many people have wii's in Trinidad to practice this game.

K, question time.
What are the controller rules for Tekken? That is, can shoulder buttons be programmed as the game's  option setting allows i.e. used to press two buttons simultaneously or will all buttons be restricted to one? And if so can the shoulders be used to program the same buttons again to make double pressing easier by pressing a face and shoulder button?

Big deal that I think will heavily influence the training of any player.

I think it's better to pose the questions directly than to assume these guys are familiar with all the different forms of competition level rules.
Especially I think the major issues should be posed directly so we don't get a shocker on game day. As much as I might like to know how many rounds we're fighting and the time limit I'm much more interested in controller regs.

Shame I won't be in Trinidad for this, I woulda get the Live crew together to enter the COD 4 tourney, we would have a good chance at PWNing and OWNing while walking away with a cool $ 10,000 to split, although I need a HELL of alot more money to cover meh wedding budget overruns!

Yea boy n00b, Redlum biting the bullet and getting married in Sept. of this year. Its a shame it wasn't in Trinidad, it would be wedding of the century in Trinidad with the $$$ that this thing is racking up...O_o

Hey, updates are being made as we speak... some stuff i.e. (rules) are being carefully redone so that this will be a fair fight for everyone! In some negotiations with some new sponsors who want part in this Gamefest and it looks like you guys might be fighting some foreign champs will let you know more later. All info to be released here this Monday.

and also will gamecube controllers be provided for smash, I know quite a few folks who will be coming down and need to know this beforehand.
