Question for Flow users
« on: February 23, 2008, 11:26:14 AM »
I'm thinking about taking flow's 2Mbit service. My question is what is the upload speed of the 2Mbit package like? Is it sufficient for playing online games?

i play fear online with a blink account. i get between 95-100ms ping. my friend who has flow gets between 80-90ms ping. so i'd say it works alright.

So you rarely get the stated speed for the package that you subscribed, or is a once in a while occurrence

Ok sounding good so far. What is the story with outages? How often and for how long? Also, some more feedback upload/gaming performance with 2Mb/s package please.

not they say UP TO 15mb or UP TO 6mb......atleast your net does work unlike with blink sigh...padnas reporting dial up speeds ROFL.
The outages are not on a daily basis.Maybe  every 2 weeks or so for a couple hours. Sometimes longer if they having alot of probs. But most of the time when I play games on Xbox Live around lets say 9pm till I dont get dropped or lag horribly. Fromw aht I have been home to experience most of the outages are at offpeak times for me, that is, around the 2pm-6pm range during the week

Flow is at least 10X better than Blink. doh listen to anyone who tell u otherwise. i only experienced problem with them a few nights the other week (just stopped working for some reason), but all's fine and dandy now. works great. constantly fast speeds. not regrets whatsoever. go for it!

here's mine. It works great most of the time. I have two computers (direct line) and my ps3 (wirelessly) and so far I've gotten lag online about 5 times playing COD4. When I run a direct cable to the ps3 I never get any lag. Also Flow is reliable. It isnt down for long or too often.
Some router have problems with it though. I have a Nexxt that doesn't work with it anymore and I heard MSI gives some trouble too. I use a Linksys now and  this works fine as long as you configure it for the PS3. Hope this helps.

Well I have the 6mbit package. It just makes more sense since tstt's 2mb offering is bout the same price or little bit more than flow's 6mbit which is $349. Free installation and modem. 30 day money back guarantee and best of all NO CONTRACTS!!

Plus the VOIP services are up and running. I can call other flow customers free or charge.

An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.

I have the 2MB connection. Got it at the end of feb after waiting since last year for my brother to get Blink...

I called flow on a Thursday, they said they'll come the following day (Friday) at 1pm.
Friday came and strange enough at around 1pm my phone rinds it's the flow guy wanting directions (shocking isn't it) so he came and took about 20mins if so much and hooked up the modem.

I asked him so um that's it? he said "Yeah you ready to go" done deal.

It only went down on me for about 2 times and that wasn't for more than a couple hours if so much.

Note to those getting flow when your internet isn't working simply take up the modem and press the reset button and everything will be fine. I haven't had to call them to complain about anything yet.

To me they have the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life in this country.

Works GREAT with gaming on my part

see if they may take our testimonials and place it on their site or something. =^_^= Nya that would be great publicity for them as well as us no?
