DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN II – GRADE 4 – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
JOB SUMMARY:
v To provide hardware, software, operating system and network connectivity support to local and remote end-users
· Provides first level support for user requests
o Customer Service, Agency Admin, Agency Offices, all CLICO Departments
· Configures and installs computer equipment
· Performs asset tracking of computer hardware and software
· Performs Windows user account administration using ADS
· Maintains computer equipment and coordinates service repairs
· Installs and supports software (e.g. Microsoft applications, Other desktop applications)
· Assists in implementing of both hardware and software standards.
· Ensures network availability (wireless, fibre and Ethernet) by reporting outages to relevant teams and/or Team Leaders and following up to ensure minimum downtime
· Provide Q-matic support
· Provides support for Health Net, Document Wizard, Premium Security and other CL Local Companies as required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Sound knowledge of PC, printers, other peripherals, Microsoft Windows desktop products; basic LAN topology, basic WAN topology, network protocols
Well-developed troubleshooting techniques
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Five O’ Levels including Mathematics and English
2 A’ Level passes or MCSE
CompTIA A+, Network+ or equivalent qualifications
2 yrs experience in the field
