A little help from Dragonball/Dragonball-z noob
« on: March 05, 2008, 07:36:31 PM »
So the ulti-negro  wants to embark on "acquiring" the dragonball series
but since i don't know much of it i have a pretty simple question.

Should i get the original japanese subtitled or the english dubbed version.

truth be told i can "acquire" both but at a whopping 64 gigs per, I think 1 will do.

Now I am a lover of anime, but for some the dub doesn't do it justice visa-ve naruto

Others, the dub isn't bad in the slightest such as Samurai x.

So I am a torn ulti-negro, and any advice from anyone who've seen both, will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ulti

yu watch rurouni kenshin in eng?? ewww

i like most others saw dbz in english, funimation dubs and then saw the jap after
and while the funimation dubs were really good, especially vegeta fuh real.

funimation has the gayest tendency to spread an episode over many many episodes, with pointless filler charging up for days type thing, and thats where naruto gets it from...

Yeahh I recently got all the Z episodes a while ago, reach up to the majin buu saga rite now, and its not that difficult to know where you could skip ahead a bit. But come on, even tho it take up a whole episode for just that one thing, super saiyan 3 was so worth it the first time!

As for kenshin, there were two dubs for that as well...The Sony dub was much, much better imo. They removed Kenshin's annoying "that it is!" and "That I am!" phrases from the dialog, and the name changes looked like they were just to western-ise the whole thing a bit more.

By the way, what format are the episodes in? Now checking my own collection, which is all in RM, and it only just crosses 13 GB.
