So Microsoft silent raped me and my pc by installing this update while I slept only to realise this morning that torrents eh working. Turns out its some vulnerability with tcpip connections. So I promptly system restored. Anyone know of any recent patch that reverses the no-torrent effect of this "update"?

Oh lawd.  That is why I NEVER set updates to download/install automatically.
M$ ALWAYS pullin some $#!t like that. :shakehead:

Use the LvlLord TCPIP patch to reverse that.
The site is perfectly safe.  That patch allows you to set the number of global TCP
connections, which is essential for torrents to operate properly.

...also called Intelligent TCP/IP patcher. I found it too while doing some research into this situation. They did someting similar with SP2 when they cut down the max number of half open connections. Now they cut it off enitrely so that an unpatched file will result in no torrent love. I stop the update from even coming i.e. put it in the block list so it eh have nothing to patch. Microsoft you's a baddddd mothafu...SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!

well I have that update installed on my XP Pro system, and i've been downloading torrents fine all day. don't see what the problem is.
