Explain? Well i have read through the form and i saw people call him ek in some of their replies. Sometimes i use a book or cd to do translations for me. When people complained i said to myself that the didnt like that so i did the work on my own. I didnt know what wtmc ment untill i asked someone. Have i done something wrong?

No, no, Chan. You haven't done anything wrong. A couple of things you said caught a couple of people off guard, but it's nothing to worry about.

I didn't realise a non Trini has to prove he is a non-Trini of a particular country to be welcomed on GATT...

So a person can't research a country he's visiting? Maybe he learned some aspect of Trini culture while he was here BEFORE he joined GATT. I am sure he did [try to] talk to other Trinis while here.

And what is the fuss over he using the name "Chan?" bar that the averaged Japanese in general conversation will tack on '-chan to their last names" (e.g Arcman-chan) and that you are more likely to hear it from the Chinese in a name. Maybe he didn't want to use his real name. Few of us do in the forum...

...because I know that if I go away and somebody started acting like a blatant stereotype of my own culture, I'd personally punch that person in the face. I'm just a normal human being visiting your country, and that's all there is to it. While a little homage to my home country would be nice, I don't expect people to go:

"So, you're the New Era Outlaw, huh? Well, hoooooooooooooowdee!!! I'm hopin' you enjoy yer stay around here, partner! When you've right settled in, we're gonna visit one of those steakhouses (cause I heard your type enjoys a good old fashioned bar-be-que) and then, we're gonna find us a ranch and ride some horses! YEE-HAWW!!!"

...not only is that annoying, but you're also assuming a lot of things based on what you believe is 'right' for people like me.
