Aaaand done. If you wanted to know what I had to say, let's just say that if Crixx and SPK were the good cops, then I was the bad cop. Or, should I say, the "extremely-pissed-off" cop.

I didn't really expect as much. Blogs often come with that feature partly to prevent people who post comments to post one thing, and then edit it to say something completely different afterwards.

I looked it up:

From 'The Urban Dictionary'

Quote
whambulance

The imaginary rescue vehicle that will rescue you from someone's incessant whining over a trivial matter. Used mockingly, but in good humor.

"Somebody call the whambulance, Stacy broke a nail."

I guess the poster feels that us 'bitching' about the blogger's post is a non-issue.

Isn't it a non-issue ?

Seriously outside of his ramblings he's mostly right about piracy and I won't even bother to take on his ramblings anyway.

I actually thought this was about actual gaming and its relative dormant state in t&t with regards to competitive play. Guess I was wrong, I'll have to bring that up sometime..

Damn skippy. It's one thing to downplay a country like that, but it's a whole other ballgame when you make the people look outright stupid. Bastard got every word coming to him.

yeah, it doesnt look like he or any of the other bloggers there are gonna patronise our sites but atleast we defended our country, our people and our hardwork to the best of our ability.

Rb its not a non issue when, as neo says, statements like that doubles thing are made, that totaly degrade us as a people.

Secondly, RB i dont think its fair that all our collective hard work to better trini gaming is treated as a non issue. Yu yurself have made alot of effort that may or may not get the recognition it deserves from your fellow countrymen, but its not right for an outsider to come and just trash all of that with hardly an upward glance, and then to go spread it on such a popular tech/gaming blog spot

if yu check the article, i think its gotten several thousand hits already
thats several thousand gamers/ techies that would believe Trinidad is a veritable gaming and tech dessert.

Nationalism Shall Bring us Victory

Iam a firm believer in that (and a big fan of china in generals ^_^ )

I agree with what Crixx said.
There are some times where you have to put your foot down on things like this.
True, we can always turn the other cheek, but then we'd practically let people who don't know better continue to believe that gaming in our society is tantamount to playing with rocks in the street.

In any case, it looks like Knee Row has seen what we've posted, and it seems that he has admitted that his view is limited, somewhat, and he has invited us to write in our blogs (those of us that did sign in, that is.) Now, I'm glad to see that he's being diplomatic and whatnot, but I still don't like what he wrote, and I think he owes us an apology.

I really loved the part where he tried to persuade us to create blogs on his site to show what gaming in Trinidad was all about.

You could practically smell the shallow attempt to net some visitors to his crappy site.
True, we could have used this opportunity to let gamers know what the haps is in Trinidad, but....isn't that why Crixx put the link to GATT there in the first place? :)

Sorry, Knee Row. We're not gonna be your monkeys.
