20 People Robbed at Las Cuevas
« on: December 04, 2007, 10:33:27 AM »
Well, It's very nice to know that when I go home on vacation and go to the beach that I can expect to be robbed and terrorized. REAL NICE!!! To be honest, this sort of thing just makes me NOT want to go to trinidad on vacation anymore, why should I subject my fiancee to the possibility of getting robbed and terrorized on THE BEACH!

Well...you shouldn't. I don't know why anyone comes here, really.
What can you do to end the hunger?
It's no surprise that many will die with the coming shortage of food
When there is no grain to feed the butchered cows
When there is nothing to feed yourselves...
Then you will see that money can't be eaten.

Well...you shouldn't. I don't know why anyone comes here, really.

Well i still have family that live there, and I do like to visit, but things are just so bad there these days it's horrible, I remember the days when we didn't have to worry about things like that, when everyone got along, no problems, now its all crime.

It's a shame, for such a beautiful island with so much potential becoming a wasteland of thieves and murderers. It's a very nice thought that tourists can visit and get robbed, soon as you said there will be NOONE visiting T&T due to the serious crime problem which will in the end only affect the citizens themselves. But I guess they don't mind putting up with it since they just re-elected the same gov't for a repeat of the last 4 years, more crime and hardship. NICE!

Good going T&T, re-elect a DERELECT gov't, so they can keep you uneducated and jobless to promote more crime. Congratulations!

Trinidad, the only place in the world where we will make the tourists really feel like they live here.
Activities include "staying inside yuh damn house", "keeping watch for cars tailing you", "tell which is the real police" and the latest hit "how fast that dog could run?".

Sweet sweet T&T.

That's a good slogan for a travel brochure! Come to Trinidad and be victimized!!

Here is the Itinerary for the wonderful vacation:

1. Tour of Port-of-Spain (Includes REAL mugging at gunpoint with a chance of actually being shot)
2. Visit to Maracas and lasCuevas Beaches (Includes Exercise workout with savage dogs and being terrorized by masked armed bandits, again with a chance of being shot)
3. Wonderful Nightlife (Clubbing at the HOT spots, Includes getting assaulted when you leave and robbed of all your valuables). You will never have a more exciting time in your life.
4. Great Police Protection throughout your visit (In the event you do get robbed or assaulted expect to NOT be able to get in touch with the Police in time to catch the criminals, there is a chance that there will be a sleeping officer in a patrol car if you're lucky)

Again, Welcome to Our Wonderful Island of Trinidad..Hope you have a great stressful vacation.

F*ck that. I'd say that 90% of the country loves it so. Have you seen the state the state of our politics? The problem is far bigger than the PNM, that's for certain. Tcht.I'm not going to rant. In fact, I'm going to be very god damned crass; Trinidad and Tobago is deserving of is suffering, because we, as a people and as anation, are too stupid to want better or to -work- for it. PNM and UNC my sweaty ass. Nothing more than a reflection of this cesspool.

Though if 2 out of those 20 people had guns... it might have been possible that the mcs who did this would have retreated, or one might be in the hospital...

What annoys me is that in addition to not being able to protect us , the system keeps us from getting weapons to defend ourselves easily , and sometimes people are punished by doing things in self defense .

There was one case in particular where a big strapping guy was beating a much smaller one to death, the smaller one stabbed him 9 times with a small object like a pen knife which killed the bigger guy somehow... The  small guy made a jail  after.

if every businessman had a gun and used them liberally , half the crime would go away..  alot of the criminals would be dead or too afraid to conduct half the nonsense they do already.

the downside is alot of bystanders would be caught in the crossfire in the short term, but if we don't defend ourselves ,what we gonna do?

Actually there are a few cases where store owners do have and repeatedly use their firearms... I think it was a gas station in Laventille or Morvant or one of those places. The owner kill LEVEL mcs and they keep coming... criminals are like rats or lemmings its not a if at first yuh doh suceed, try something different... nah they just keep coming. What we need is NATION WIDE sweeps and deathrow cleanup, hang tham ALL in 1 hr!!! then go around capturing wanted criminals and have public hangings on the spot, you'll see a decline then! one might argue more violent retribution will only call more violent criminals.. my opinion is we'd only be CATCHING up with criminals! if we start enforcing MARTIAL LAW with an IRON FIST, it'd be stepping up to matching our punishment with their crimes! hang, disembowel, behead, death by s0d0my, I think these should all be publicly aired and the funds raised go towards families of victims :p

Problem with that W1n, the damn criminals will go complain to some Human Rights Organization bringing it to global attention, and Trinidad will then be considered a BABARIC 3rd World Country that can't solve their CRIME problem by HUMANE ways.....That's irony for you....

Did I say I ever cared about human rights? LMAO.. (see why I can't be prime minister or KING?) I wouldn't care what world human rights have to say about it, cause imho the criminals DON'T take into account the HUMAN RIGHTS of their victims and as such I would extend the SAME courtesy to them, AKA NONE WHATSOEVER! But I BET you the criminals think twice and crime drops through the ceiling. But then I would also accept the loss of a few innocent ppl to deal with crime meaning, sure they'll have a few instances of a good person in the wrong place at the wrong time, but in the grand scheme of things with a heavily over populate planet, we won't miss 1 or 2 or even 100 for that matter. So for the benefit of the rest of the public some will be martyrs, their immediate families would however be RIDICULOUSLY compensated for the loss for the rest of their lives I assure you. But as I said, the proceeds from the public airings will go towards such ;)

*W1nTry looks around and wonders how many ppl will think he is an evil dictator after this post, but doesn't give a rats cause criminals deserve it*

Stealing - public stoning...not to death...maybe
Rape - Castration, being hung by your legs dipped in honey and have red ants thrown on you and when that is over have the victim decide what to do with you
Kidnapping - bound and gagged thrown in the trunk of a b14/almera with busted shocks and driven on an extremely bad road, then take you out, public stoning AGAIN...not to death this time. And then thrown in jail for 10 years
Drug trafficing - jail time (sorry while it may be a serious issue its ppls choise to use them...)
Drunk driving - license suspension, raise in insurance, fee
Hit and run - let the victims family decide.

Just to name a few

Kidnapping should be classified (as in other countries) on par with a murder...
Hence death for the kidnapper imo...
