Boffs invent method to speak through your earAural choralBy Nick Farrell: Wednesday, 19 December 2007, 8:32 AMJAPANESE boffins have worked out a way of speaking through your ear so that you can use a mobile telephone when it is noisy. It does not involve some Zen meditation practice, but the use of a device called "e-Mimi-kun". The word literally means "good ear boy" which we think might have lost something in the translation. It uses a microphone in the ear piece that can detect vibrations inside the ear.Since your ear hears you speaking it means that it acts as a pretty good microphone. Its inventors NS-ELEX said that it can be connected to a mobile phone, or wirelessly to a Bluetooth handset. Noise is reduced by six times and punters do not have to cover their mouths when speaking in a loud environment.
