If someone can tell me for sure where I can get this unlocked, I will take it.
Better yet, if you can get it unlocked beforehand, I'll take it.  I don't want to
be stuck with a Digicel-only device after spending all that money.

of course, I've also heard it may work on rave and carib-link but haven't tested it myself.
