I’ve only had my copy of Kane and Lynch: Dead Men in my hands for an hour and already there’s new details coming out about the movie adaptation that’s already in the works. Lionsgate purchased the rights to the game from Eidos awhile back and is already trying to fast-track it into production. Most interesting among the new details emerging is that Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton are both in the running to play the two characters. A script has already been written by newcomer Kyle Ward.Considering even the less-than-stellar reviews for the game are acknowledging a gripping story, this could actually be solid video game film for a change. I could see both Willis and Thornton pulling off these roles fairly well, though I’m not sure who should be Kane and who should be Lynch. I just hope it doesn’t turn into Bandits 2.
