Games you intend on buying Holiday 2007...
« on: October 29, 2007, 04:40:16 PM »
Face it...the line-up of games for this year has to probably be the best ever....
We're talking Crysis right around the corner, HALO 3 just out.... Metroid Prime Corruption, Call of Duty 4, Heavenly Sword and much much much more amazing titles....

So...What games will you be shelling out cash on for this holiday season...
If you've already purchased/preordered titles you can mention it as well...

Games I bought:
Heavenly Sword (PS3)
Bioshock (PC)
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron (PSP)
Gears of War (PC)
Call of Duty 4 (PS3)
Time Crisis 4 (PS3)

My Wish List:
Unreal Tournament 3 (PC/PS3)
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3)
Eye of Judgment (PS3)
Assassin's Creed (PS3)
Haze (PS3)
Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Expansion (PS3)
Singstar (PS3)
Warhawk (PS3)
Rock Band (PS3)

So whats your list? >>>

Of course Crysis (PC) and Call Of Duty 4 (PC and maybe Xbox 360 as well) on top of my list. (already pre-ordered)

Then there's:

Ace Combat 6 (Xbox 360) - already bought
Assasin's Creed (Xbox 360)
Virtua Fighter 5 (Xbox 360)

maybe Halo 3 (Xbox 360) - not really a fan of this, but everyone else has it, so.....

Army Of Two (Xbox 360) should be on this list as well, but less than a month before release, its been delayed till Q1-2008.

Need For Speed: Pro Street (Xbox 360) is looking fantastic as well (based on the Xbox Live demo I've played),
but I can always 'acquire' the PC version. :toothy5:  Same thing goes for Gears Of War (PC).

I think those will suffice until 2008, when Resident Evil 5 surfaces.

I was looking at hellgate london seriously but from playing the demo i see its a waste of time,
Probably whatever has the best and most rewarding multiplayer for the year with lots of mod potential ie. Unreal 3 or Cod 4 , maybe Crysis.

Well there are things you have to consider, if you have DSL and willing to put out $50 US for Xbox Live for the year, then Xbox 360 it is, plus games, it'll still come way under the amount you going to spend on a rig to play Crysis at a level that looks and plays great. On the other hand, you have to consider what games on the 360 you are interested in and is it really worth it, I can mention a bunch but that's up to you. To each man his own. I would make a list of Pros and Cons to make your decision if I were you...

I'd give this one more time, seeing as it still needs more titles to justify it, on the other hand, if you have access to Blu-Ray movies and that's your thing then by all means the PS3 is a viable choice... however considering its being pited against the PC and the 360 both having tonnes of titles (the PC saves money on titles as you can 'aquire' games) the 360 has the online experience... its really up to what's most important to you.
