Mortal Online combats WOW with UT3 engineHistory won't repeat itself in new MMORPGBy Stewart Meagher: Tuesday, 15 April 2008, 4:27 PMSTAR VAULT has announced the impending release of a new online fantasy combat called Mortal Online.Looking very much like a highly-polished World of Warcraft, the trailer which was created using the in-game Unreal Tournament engine, promises greater things to come.Star Vault reckons the gameplay will be different in a few ways. There are no PvP zones and the heavily combat-skewed gameplay takes place in an open and realistic world where you are free to choose your own path.Other promised features include the ability to build your own house, or set up a guild to build a castle or keep. The biggest difference we can see is that some major realtime events will be a one-time-only occurrence, meaning that, if you miss that massive legendary monster with the unique items and treasure, there's no point waiting for it to respawn. Once it's dead... it's dead.Kiss your social life goodbye, dweebs!
