purchasing a sword

so it'll b my birthday soon and i thinking up a gift i was looking at a sword on amazon a training sword metal but unsharpened 40 inches total length, 28" blade, foot long handle. nice enough.

Hm...I know New York New York in Trincity mall sells swords, but as for importing them, no idea. Maybe you could check them on that kinda scene since they should know how the imports does work. Why that particular one btw?

Question...what do y'all actually do with these tings? Swords and forehead protectors etc? Wear them in public. Do you actually wield your sword and challenge someone to a duel?

uhh.. it is nothing like that i liked swords throughout all of my life and now i think i can get one so i want one simple like that,
and i want that one cause it is the only one that i seeing on amazon that is metal and unsharpened all the other training swords there are wood.

lol but i sneaked in a windmill shruken and 3 athames a couple years ago

wrapped the blades in double sided tape

put it in luggage.

dont imagine they wont notice swords in yur luggage but its an idea.

For some ppl (including me) i like swords as decorations wall hangers etc looks kinda cool according to your setting.
I think bringing in swords are illegal (cause there weapons).
I brought down a dagger once but whats that to a sword ?.  lol

I bring a whole sword through already. I reverse the box so it's cardboard on the outside and send it through the blue plastic wrapping machine in Miami, check the package and took it home when I arrived.
Cause that's how I roll.

I bring through one of those master replica lightsabers same way.

I think they woulda love to lash me left and right with duty on it, yes.
Essentially just getting it through scott free comes down to the same thing. It's a victory of methodology that it worked twice. Though with the scanners they randomly puttin men luggage through these days I wouldn't try it again.

First things first when bringing in a sword LEGALLY, you need to get a letter with all the information on the sword, everything from reason for purchase, to cost and weight and manufacturer. This letter has to be sent to the Commissioner of Police and he will be the one to give you the license to bring the sword in. If you do not follow that first step you can get the sword to land in the country, but customs will hold it till they get that license from the COP stating that you can claim it or whatever, the longer it stays in customs, the higher cost you will have to pay (rental charges).
I would recommend that you get someone from abroad to purchase it and send it in after you get that letter to the COP (which takes a while to acquire btw) and state in the letter that a friend from abroad wants to send it to you as a gift and they already purchased it, they just want to get it to you through the proper process.

I usually bring in some of my weapons from trueswords through http://www.ttdirectbuy.com/... They ship it in real normal, but I wouldnt really try brining in too many at once. All the other ones i get, I get through a friend who owns a hardware, the same ppl who they get their cutlass from makes some pretty good throwing axes.
