even tho the performance is only 5% or so better the heat is much less, plus this is with out sse4 and other goodies supported so expect 5-10% clock for clock improvements over c2d plus look at the prices!!!!!!

Oh also the 8700, 8800gt and 9800 will be out from nv and ati is droping the 670! a $200 hd2900 single slot card, yeah it won't beat a 8800 but it will own in cross fire!

I dont really think Nvidia will drop both the 8800 revisions as well as new gen parts at the same time in the same month. My bet is that the new gen will come either Dec 07 or early Q1 08.

As for the CPU's, the e8200 looks tempting, could most likely get very close to a 4ghz OC out of that.

'Quadcore' means four processor 'cores' wthin a single CPU, so technically its four processors,
but physically, its just one chip.

Unfortunately, a new 45 nm CPU might mean a motherboard change for me, which I cannot afford right now,
so I'll stick with the Q6600, which should (*crosses fingers*) drop in price by then.
