I'd say go with the x1950 pro since i've seen them run very well on today's games. If you're into overclocking, then i'd say go with the 7950gt since it can be overclocked past the factory oc settings to push it over the 1950 performance wise. Most of them (read 1950's) dont have tha ability to overclock very well.

Im using an x1950 pro and I really got to say it surpassed my expectations.

if you into stock then go for pro.

if ocin is you thing try the 7950.

One thing i've gotta ask. What is your budget? If you dont plan on buying a video card for some time to come, the best option would be to go with a 320mb 8800gts as i'm sure you can get one for less than $300 us. Think about it...you get one beastly card that wtfpwns any dx9 part and is more 'future proof'. I dont know if you heard, but the 8800gts's will remain the mid high end flagship for some time to come (at least until around February/March next year.) I'll strongly suggest going that route.

Ouch. I know how it is when you're on a tight budget. In that case, x1950 ftw!
