What you guys think about this Lappy for my Hunny??

my G/F recently trashed her laptops LCD (dont ask how, lol) ...she's headin away for school month-end, so i've got to get a new unit ASAP!! the phone bill would certainly run me bankrupt in no time!

my preferences are that it MUST have an Intel dual core CPU, lots of HD space, XP or Vista(home premium) not less than 1 GB RAM & DVD burner.

so, i've found  a really decent Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527 on Amazon for $700us (+ shipping) lemme know what you guys think, and if you have better ideas, be my guest.

as long as you doh have intentions of using XP, yuh good, my sister has one from this same line, pressure as they dont have any (or much of the needed) XP drivers.

The screen real nice very sharp.

drop at least 1.5 gigs in it though, remember this is shared mem and yuh need as much mem as possible with the vista.

Core 2 Duo would also be nice but at this price I guess it can't be expected. XP if you can, otherwise Vista... pfft... good luck with that...

well, apart from objecting severley to the use of the word 'lappy', it doesn't seem too bad.. but i woudnt run vista on it with 1 gig ( less, since is shared)


find out if is 1 stick or 2 u have, and get a upgrade of the ram, if price permits

else.. XP
