Cherish Life (Near death experience)
« on: May 05, 2007, 12:38:55 AM »
if you have the oppertunity now, call up your family members, loved ones or ones you loved before and tell them you are sorry or you love them. Cherish the people or things around you for you never know when next you will see them again.

All this happend in wake of a near accident I had a few hours ago. I was coming to a stop at a traffic light just one turn off from my area. I was in the left lane going north, foot off the gas and coasting to a stop. I noticed out the corner of my eye a pair of headlights that were out of sync with the traffic. WHen I turned my head I relaized it was an air born car coming towards me. Even though tensed up, I managed to swerve to the right moving out of the way as the car came into contact with the ground. It ended up upside down in a drain. Everyone in the car survived but only suffered bruises and cuts.

So my plea again: Cherish everything that happens in your life, for it is a blessing in disguise.

Glad to hear that you are ok.

I hope someone in the media picks up on this and credits your survival to video games. Years of honing hand eye coordination FTW!

I've had a few near misses myself... you really should always appreciate those dear to you, however sometimes no  matter how much you care for someone, you may not be in a position to tell them how much you care. I would advise to those in such a position to simply pray for them and let it be in God's hands...

car accidents are ridiculous in Trinidad as well as Jamaica, we need to be more careful on the roads.

Well my near death experience was a bit more dramatic.

So let's set the scene Hiking the North West coast of Trinidad. was a three hour hike and it began to rain when we were up on the trail. There was a curving cliff and because so many ppl had gone before me the cliff was very slippery and muddy so instead of me taking the curve I started sliding straight down off the cliff. I had to hold onto a root stump until help came and they had to tie a bungee cord around my ankles and repel me off the cliff and I had to pull myself up....

It was interesting lol
I got through it and I would say it was my neariest near death experience in my life
lol

Wont trade it in for the world though it makes me seem defined lol

Sorry for reviving this thread but it wouldn't make sense starting a new one

Ok ppl firstly i lost my aunt on tuesday she died of cancer. She was sick for a lil while but we didn't know how sick till she did and operation and it was after this they found out she had cancer. That was roughly two months ago. A few knew in the family, it came as a shock to me, they wanted to keep it a secret so we wouldn't worry.

Second instance on our way to the wake lastnight we got a phone call. Apparently one of our friends who is 19 got a bad drive while on his motor cycle yesterday morning and crashed. He slipped into a coma only to awake from it later that afternoon and die a few minutes afterwards.

Not to get religious on you all but I jus want to say that please becareful life is precious esspecially now. While some of us may not believe in certain things my only request is that your life is in good moral stand that if today or tomorow something happens you'll be ok, just in case.

RIP Steve
