may i also suggest modding the case a bit by perforating or cutting a hole at the bottom an flipping the psu so it sucks in cool air from under the case rather pulling hot air from the inside of the case cause i doubt its getting much air from those front fans with both those cards in there ...... hmmm

i think he has a side fan too, with these power supplies it's the one time i would say it's not that big a deal, the hx750/850 can operate @ specifications up to about 50*C, in fact they are tested to do so, so unless his system is in a room where airflow is practically nil, he should be fine.

psu looking stink hoss...wish i coulda put out the extra for the 750 version woulda be stinkkkkkk

ps

by any change have you tried to go through corsairs RMA process? maybe you could still get a lil sum for your trouble, they usually pretty cool with that stuff, could always ask on the forums

Thats an interesting idea. I wonder how much of an improvement that will give. I am a bit reluctant to go cutting for only minor gains. @neph indeed. In the review the unit managed to retain very high levels of efficiency at higher temps so i am not too worried about that.

...and RMA-ing from TnT is a rather expensive process.  The kind of cost involved to ship a product back to the manu borders on ridiculous.  If its a really heavy product like a PSU, you lookin at prices north of 700 TT.

...and don't forget, if you get a replacement, you have to pay to ship that back here too.  You can easily see how the costs begin to add up.

Most times its just easier/cheaper to buy a new one and done.

Yup I recently had to RMA some memory, it added a cool 200TT to the cost though I think it was more than that... O_o

You sounding like you have a contact... cause usually fedex or ANYTHING faster than snail mail is $$$. And funny enough I work with someone with that kinda connection. Anything he wants, no matter the cost or size, he can fedex it and not get charge with ridiculous rates... Prowl help we out nah man!

This is not an entry into the rankings, but rather my bitch machine that does all the things my main machine is too good for...

Behold the high quality craftsmanship twisties holding the board to its box.

You cant see it, but holes for the hard drive data and power cables are at the back and the hard disk itself is secured with ducttape inside the box.

Also starring is a total of 5.5tb of external hard drive space for downloading the internets.

I absolutely love the stark contrast...between the 1337 mega-storage, and the ultra-ghetto setup.  :laughing7:

Only Cap could make it all come together like that.

+1 to you, good sir.

The nice thing about it is that everything except the hard drives and ups cost me absolutely nothing. Every single part was canabalised from a different system. My gf aptly refers to it as Frankie.

Ok guys, small upgrade time. This rounds, gaming peripherals...

As they say, a picture says 1000 words...

The G15, G500 and SteelSeries xxl (aka, as my father call it, the helipad) meets the Z2300 speakers.

Now is time to christen the new mouse in some battlefield.
