My personal pick here is the MSI P6N SLI Platinum, because of the fact that it has 3 PCI slots, and two IDE headers.
For me at least, its the right combination of price, features and performance, and just perfect for users
upgrading with existing IDE drives. I can attest to this because during my recent upgrade, I found myself
with three IDE drives (1 HDD, and 2 DVDRW) and only ONE IDE header. Suffice it to say, that IDE HDD just
had to be replaced.
One thing to note, and this is shown in the benchmarks, is that the 650i chipset's performance is
right on par with its more expensive 680i brethren, which begs the question:
'Why then, should I buy a 680 board?'
