Help Webserver with TSTT DSL Modem

Hi I have a webserver set up on my local network. I would like to have it on the internet for certain periods. I registered with DynDNS and when I enter the address it correctly goes to my current ip address but it asks to login into the dsl router. I forward port 80 on the router to the server address on my lan and it said it will switch the dsl web server to port 8080. It doesn't do this as I can still login to the router with 192.168.1.1 without having to specify port 8080. Its a paradyne DSL modem. any help greatly appreciated.

yeah u wont beable to access it like that u will alwaays get your adsl modem config page, give a friend the address and see if they can access your website.

Thanks it worked. I didn't realise I had to check it from an external pc.

if u want to see it from within your  lan u have to put it in you HOSTS file e.g 192.168.254.2 mydomain.com HOSTS file can b located in windows\system32\drivers\etc
