Final Score:

1st Hour: NEO - 13 wins, Whiplash - 10 Wins
2nd Hour: NEO - 14 Wins, Whiplash - 12 Wins

...and you are such a bastard for picking three Sentinels right off the starting gate, whippy. :P

We should definitely do this again sometime, but next time, we bring our own PS2, and we arrive dead early at JAVA (cause $15 per person, per hour is TOO MUCH at Virtual Zone when you can pay $25 for the whole day at the coffee house. Yes, we had to change venues.)

So I hear whiplash/NEO are having a MvC2 tournament this December. I heard it from Alan, one of the guys who frequents St. James arcade. IF this thing goes through, since this would be about the second or third time I've heard NEO trying to organize such a thing since last year, I will definitely NOT be attending, because this December my wife and I will be expecting our first child. If it's at the very end of the month I might be able to make a quick appearance, but other than that, no. I'll be waaaaaay too busy. Just though I'd give you guys a heads up in case you cared.

Also, Alan told me whiplash/NEO had some sort of preview tournament a couple months ago, won my NEO. Alan told me that NEO changed teams after every match. IF this is true, since it's possible he may been mistaken, I would like to point out that's a no no. The rules are winner must keep his character/team, and only the loser may switch. Just FYI.

whiplash and I? No....not that I recall. I know Carl is attempting something this December.

By the way, yes, it's true, I did switch teams between matches. But, there wasn't any rules in that particular tournament that said that I couldn't (heck, everybody save Carl was doing it) so meh. Whatever.

Congrats on the latest addition to your family, by the way.

It's been awhile NEO since we had us a brawl. Remember the guy who said he was the best in trinidad..... I dusted em out last 2 weeks. His friend quoted him saying "I dont have a fix for sentinal and commando". Appanantely he never tasted high level of play before he met me. If u have the time let me know if this could happen and I might invite "the best" and his parthner for and extended beating.Tell carl and whoever else that might be interested.

Yep. It's been far too long, old friend.
Where and when do you propose we do this thing we do so well?

Just letting you guys know, my wife gave birth to our daughter last Saturday. I'm more or less done with MvC2 (have been for years, actually; playing you guys merely reactivated these old hands temporarily, but even reaching my old peak is a fleeting fancy, far less surpassing it), so even though you haven't really seen me in a while, you really won't be seeing me for a while now. :p

However, I'll be looking to pick up SFIV and SFHD when I get my PS3 (hopefully in January). I already have the TV setup for it: A Sharp AQUOS 42" 1080p I got from Courts!

Hey, congrats, Ultima!
Glad to hear the good news.

In any case, while I'm going to stick around with MvC2 for a while, it might be only a matter of time before I move up the food chain to Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. That game is serious fun.

Wow. TvC is serious fun. I haven't played a game of MvC ever since I got it. Roll is like a ka-zillion times better in this game than in Marvel. So much so, that you will catch your ass to beat her.

Congrats on bringing a new life into this world Ultima. I've got two kids myself, so I know the joy and the demands those bumpkins bring.

Question for you. Why a PS3 for the SFIV action?

Don't you think there will be more of an online/competitive community around the xbox 360 version?

I'm deliberating on the same issue right now and I really want the best online experience for my next gen fighting console. Hoping DSL can bring warriors closer together without having to leave the little kids and misses at home.

I'm guessing the stick is the determining factor, seeing as he already has a PS2 stick which can be used on a PS3 with a ps2 to pc adapter. Tournament standard will most likely remain PS3 due to the fact that many tournaments already use it to run Tekken DR.

XBL will most likely be better for the online component if Super Turbo HD is any indication.

If anyone has played the Street Fighter Turbo HD Remix on Xbox Live, they will tell you that it runs FLAWLESS, no LAG! NONE!
