More importantly, is it on pc or is it just another damn console based game.

checked it out and found out it will indeed be coming to pc. Also it appears that they are also ditching the tried and tested World War 2 setting and introducing modern combat. Full article can be read here.

Oh SWEEEEEEET.  While I do like WWII's setting and weapons, I prefer much more the modern or futuristic
setting and weapons of Battlefield 2/2142.  DICE has proven that once you get the physics/gameplay right,
a modern day (based) shooter can totally kick lotsa azz.....

Combined with a kickazz storyline and online multiplayer modes, and we might just have a winner here.

Very nice indeed.  MORE new games for my new PC to wine up on.  :happy0203:

COD 3 has 24 written on the back but when  u download the update on ps3 u can play up to 34 players online i believe. As for the weaps i dont mind old fashioned weaps but im am god damn tired of world war 2 games. I beat COD 2 yes and i do have 3 but COD 3 i got by chance not by choice i would not have bought it due to it being a WW2 game. If they ditch it in 4 im a definite buyer.

I'd think a Gulf War based game would be very epic , with the burning oilfields and whatnought.. But no one conflict will bring the variety you'd want i think : It probably would be a true 'modern combat' game , with all the recent conflicts eg. Bosnia, Afghanistan , Recent Iraq war .
It would fit together as all the enemies will have AK47s and RPGs more or less.. and all are 'terrorists' of some brand or another.

Though i still go cuss if i can't shoot through wood or glass still..

I'm guessing any dual core/2gb ram/7900/8800/x19xx/2900xt system should do the trick.

Cod 4 preview on actiontrip http://www.actiontrip.com/previews/callofduty4modernwarfare.phtml

apparently the storyline is fictional , set in the middle east and russia , promising warfare from british SAS and  US marine perspectives .
Some of the inspiration is derived from '24' .
