WTB LCD 19" MONITOR
« on: April 18, 2007, 05:18:33 AM »
Ok just throwing this out

Anybody got a decent 19 inch lcd for sale? looking for one for around 1000 -1600. pc tech had some good ones for 1500 a few weeks back but prices all over have raised considerably on lcds since tax has been added.... :crybaby2:

at least 8ms response time, decent viewing angle, and at least 600:1 contrast ratio, and resolution of at least 1280x1024. (preferably not wide screen)

priced a few all over tnt and the prices are always in excess of 2g, dats is a lil too pricy, for my pocket right now.

pm me if anyone has a decent deal.

Check Amazon and you can contact either myself or Saxman, we can bring it in for you, usually for
just about $1500 TT.

The tax has been reapplied to CRT monitors only eh, not LCDs/flat-screen monitors.  I can say this because I
brought in two Samsung flat-screens within the past five weeks, and there was no VAT/duty charges.

Those stores (as usual) not telling the whole truth.  Conveniently.

MC customs and Excise.

I think I'll write a burning letter to the Comptroller of Customs and Excise (Fitzroy John), venting my anger and challenging his competence and intelligence in allowing such a decision to pass...

As for your post.. I'll look up something and get back to you.

@ Arc on LCD's: oh really? I get pong with VAT on a 22" Wide LCD some weeks ago... something amiss there with our skybox people....

I better import via the skybox ppl I work for and be present in customs when it clears (I have accounts with 2 skybox companies, one of whom i work for)

Berzerk, I got a question.

As a man who has been on the scene for a while.

How come you don't import stuff yourself? I mean, if arc and sax could do it. Who is you?

Just curious.

(and no I not just bitter cause arcman leave me out the "people who could bring ting down for yuh" list, :cussing: )

I know what you mean.

I think everyone has their share of import horror stories....this one time, I had ordered a....drifting from the subject.

Now ain't story time.

Got a more important question for you.

See you're flaunting the x1950pro, I ask again....where is my X800???

lol, yes.

A friend needed one, a powerful agp card. His 5900 died / is dying. Told him I found one (yours) and then someone else goes and snatched it up.

:BangHead:

The search continues.

Well, it's about time that I got my hands on a decent card for once, and unlike you, the card isn't for someone else, it's for my own PC. At least now the 6800 card could go into my main system, and the card I'm currently using can go into a 2nd PC for lighter gaming/Internet/DVD watching etc.
