Actually its not that far fetched (i.e. broadband via your water and drainage systems) Alot of ultility companies have been heavily researching using their existing infrastructure to support broadband services. Look at power companies for instance. Even oil/refinery based companies have been looking at it as an option. I mean think about it, you have a LARGE infrastructure install base (ala pipelines, powerlines, etc). Its just a matter of running fibre or some other medium along your established routes to provide an additional service. It's what the cable companies did and look how well that panned out.... I mean WASA could prolly never do that cause their damn pipes keep bursting and they forever digging the NEWLY PAVED ROADS up... but that aside its not an impossibility... (not reffering to flushing fibre down the tube that is... come on Trini... READ the article properly before you post...)
