 Rumor has it that it may be an MMORPG..  If so it would be stupid to do another one in the vein of WoW as the would eat into their own market share.  Hopefully they will break the standard and give us a an online RTS, with RPG elements in building and managing a base etc..

say you have 100 million mmorpg players world wide

playing roughly 40 mmorpgs.
they release a hit game that takes up say 25% of this market share
then they release another hit mmorpg
adding another 25% of gamers
and say 10% of that 25 came from wow
they would still have a net gain of the mmorpg market and thus would be even more successfull

and then they can create a friendly rivalry between the two games
innovating both all the time to pull gamers hither an tither, drumming up more and more interest in either game as they both get insanely good...
